When Mary B’s not on stage or in the studio, she’s busy standing up for the rights of racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. This Saturday, she plans to fight bigotry with food! Come to San Francisco’s Crissy Field around 11:00AM, enjoy Mary’s legendary cooking, and celebrate diversity with a bunch of Yelpers.
Mary writes,
“I Love to cook, I love to eat, and I love tolerance and everything it stands for. I love the yelpers who feel the same way that I do. Let’s have a picnic!
If you celebrate diversity, equality, GLB pride, tolerance, the constitution of the United States and each other, lunch is on me friends. Join me and other yelpers kicking it old school with mesquite charcoal. Bring the kids, your veggie burgers and your sunny ideals to the park.
I can cook. I cook dinners for the LA FD, can feed about 75 mouths but I’m prepared to be outdone with your potluck dish, your potato salad and your desert.
I’m bringing my acoustic guitar, Latin food for sharing with friends and smoldering mesquite charcoal to throw your things down on. Bring your appetite, your casual ensemble and a blanket to toss down for cloud watching.”
